17 Turkish soldiers killed during operations in Gulmerk

HPG carried out special operations on points belonging to the Turkish occupation army in several areas belonging to Gulmerk and Ilhe in northern Kurdistan, which was able to inflict casualties in the occupation army.

HPG's media center issued a statement revealing the "special" operations of Guerilla fighters in both Gulmerk and Ilhe in northern Kurdistan, adding that 17 soldiers of the Turkish occupation army were killed during the operations, in addition to the destruction of several military vehicles belonging to the occupation.

The statement pointed out that Guerilla fighters and within the campaign "Martyrs Pêruz and Ageri" revolutionary launched on the sixth of June, several attacks against the headquarters of the Turkish occupation army in Gulmerk, where they injured a convoy of the Turkish army and destroyed a military vehicle, and killed 15 soldiers and injured many of them.

The statement pointed out that units of the Turkish army began a large-scale military operation in the region, in order to withdraw the bodies of their dead soldiers and wounded from the ground of clashes, and also hit several points, without recording any casualties .

The statement continued: "After the implementation of the special operation the units of the Turkish army began a large-scale military operation in the region, and continues until this moment."
