People complain of high prices, Supply Committee promises solutions

The markets of al- Hasakah are witnessing a remarkable increase in materials, especially commodities and foodstuffs, as each seller sells the items at a special price, the people suffer from this problem, especially that the Supply Committee in al-Hasakah did not do much work during this month.

In this regard, ANHA agency met with many residents of the city who expressed their indignation about the situation and the varying prices. The citizen Imama Omar has expressed her resentment towards the high prices; she said "every seller sells with a special price without considering the difficult living conditions of the people, especially with the coming of Eid al-Fitr.”

The citizen Imama criticized the Supply Committee in al-Hasakah for failing to carry out its tasks.

Fahd Ahmed said: "We want unified prices, not to be according to the benefit of the seller, we as the people of the city suffer from this situation and exploitation of traders and sellers, especially in Ramadan month."

Ahmed also appealed to the concerned authorities to put control on these shops to solve the problem.

The administrator of the Supply Committee Saad Najjar said in this regard that they are taking their daily tours and know the reality of prices, adding, "There are some traders who exploit the differential dollar price, so they exploit the people."

Najjar pointed out that they impose fines on shops that sell at high prices.

Najjar said at the end of his speech, "We accept all the criticisms directed at us by the people and we will work to develop work and identify the deficiencies seriously."
