Badran Hamo: Let's negotiate in Damascus, Qamishlo instead of Geneva, Astana

Syria ... Who are those who struggle to divide it and why?

The Middle East has long been subjected to many invasions, such as the Mongols, Tatars, Macedonian conquests and other occupiers, because of its richness of natural resources for their own good, today we see the repetition of the scenario, but differently, the invasions have become a proxy war.

As we know that Syria is the heart of the Middle East, and from this perspective, it has become a destination to clear the accounts of the conflicting countries, as we know that the US policy is focused on controlling the area to extend its influence, while Russia, which worked throughout the Syrian crisis to maintain its interests in Syria, because its only remaining base in the Middle East is Syria, so it is dying to preserve it.

As for Iran, its main objective is to form the Shiite crescent and reach Lebanon's borders to support the Lebanese Hezbollah in public against Israel. The Turks are limited to controlling the good and exploiting the crisis to strengthen its collapsed economy at the expense of the factories that were stolen and transferred to its territory through its hired mercenaries.

What are the reasons for inviting the Russians to exclude the Iranians at this sensitive stage of the Syrian crisis?

Recently, we have seen contradictions between the Syrian regime's allies - the Iranians and the Russians - who demand the complete withdrawal of the Iranians and Hezbollah from Syria, especially from the south under the pressure of the Jewish lobby, which works to preserve Israel's interests.

Russia's sole concern is to preserve its interests, as opposed to the promotion of these forces, which are considered invasive as forces that came to protect and preserve the interests of the people, we saw this conclusion after the Russian-Turkish rapprochement, which were not long ago the two worst enemies on the arena.

Interests above everything, without Turkish concessions, the regime and its allies could not control Aleppo or al-Gouta or other areas, let us be realistic, now most mercenary gangs have been moved to North Syrian to strike the democratic project that serves the people and stands against colonial interests.

What do Assad’s last statements signify?

First, we can say that Assad became the official spokesman for the Russians in Syria, anything that the Russians want is achieved. In other words, we have placed the regime under the Russian mandate only to maintain the throne, when Assad says that Syrian Democratic Forces must either fight or surrender, this means that the regime is ready to fight Syrians living on this land for thousands of years to achieve the goals of Russia, which agreed with Turkey on distributing Syria after the division.

When the Syrian president says that the remaining dilemma is SDF, this also means that his regime has proved itself as a force on the ground and a legitimate enterprise that threatens the interests of the colonial powers.

We also in Syrian Democratic Forces and the Syrian Democratic Council have repeatedly stressed that any intra-Syrian war in general will lead to the more bloodshed and the increase of victims and the people will be the biggest loser.

But this does not prevent us from adhering to our project based on the demand for a fair constitution that guarantees the rights of all the Syrian people and adopts the slogan of a democratic, pluralistic and decentralized Syria as a basic reference.

We are with the dialogue because the military solution adopted over the past eight years has not achieved stability but created destruction and displacement. If we are as Syrians serious in change, let us negotiate without any interference in our interests. Why do not we negotiate in Damascus or Qamishlo instead of Geneva and Astana? Therefore, we appeal to all Syrian political forces to put the interests of the people above all and work to achieve them to end the crisis and start building the nation.
