Campaign to clean, restore south al-Raqqa countryside

The people’s municipality in al-Kasrat area in the southern of al-Raqqa countryside launched a massive campaign to clean the southern bank of the Euphrates River with the assistance of al-Mansoura Municipality Council.

The clean-up campaign was carried out from Qusra Faraj village reaching al-Dahla and al-Akrashi village. The campaign includes cleaning the main streets and sub-sections of the rubbish, and cleaning of the surface water pipes on both sides of the main roads, including Aleppo-al-Raqqa highway and New and Old Bridge road.

The campaign included the removal of rubbish dumps located among the houses of al-Kasrat and transfer them to the dumps allocated by the municipality, and it worked to open the streams of surface water networks on both sides of the main roads and subways, in addition to other works included spraying pesticides and repairing damaged water networks’ lines.

It is worth mentioning that the campaign will continue for three months until all the neighboring villages and towns would be cleaned of rubbish.
