Women Coordination condemned Turkish violations against Afrin women

This came in a statement issued by the Women Coordination of in DAA in Rojava, in which it said:

"The Syrian crisis which entered its eighth year, and which is supposed to be a revolution for liberating the peoples from tyranny and all the oppressive methods that make the voice of freedom silent has become a global crisis in which countries conflict each other according to their personal interests.

The foreign countries began to intervene, and the revolution deviated from its course and turned into international and regional conflicts. The Turkish state exploits every opportunity to intervene in the Syrian territories, justifies its intervention by protecting its borders, and it exploited this crisis and achieved its objectives.

The brutal aggression on Afrin region since January, and the attacks launched by Erdogan and his mercenaries using all kinds of heavy weapons and its illegal occupation of Afrin resulted in the demographic change of Afrin's geography, the forced displacement of Afrin people and entering terrorist gangs into the area.

We in Women Coordination in the DAA call upon all humanitarian organizations and the international community to join our voice to put an end to the Turkish tyranny and its gangs and the crimes committed against women. We affirm the continuation of the women’s resistance in Afrin until it would be liberated.
