Co-chairs, notables: Turkey is conducting ethnic cleansing, demographic change

The Co-chairs of institutions, councils and clans' notables in the eastern countryside of al-Raqqa on Sunday released statement to public opinion in al-Karama area, denouncing the violations of the Turkish occupation army in Syria and especially in Afrin.

The Co-chair of al-Jadidat Council, Ibrahim al-Hindi read the statement which included:

What happened to beloved Afrin is a plot and massacre against  Afrin people because of conspiracy of colonial countries in order to achieve their interests and colonial intentions at the expense of that region and the goals of the world countries to colonize Syria again. Particularly, to achieve the ambitions of the Turks to restore the Ottoman occupation and Erdogan's fascist policy of settling mercenaries, criminals and owners takfirist Ideology in North Syria in order to be a malicious tool to achieve their ambitions in Syria in general and Afrin and North Syria in particular.

The fact that Afrin was exposed to displacement and demographic change of the reality of the population in the city and the situation of sale and purchase of forced land of the people of the city and the original cases of perpetual murder and abduction of civilians and placing the fascist Turkish flag on the service and administrative centers of the city and the new issuance of identity and identification certificates written by the Turkish fascist administration and Turkish flag and language being taught in schools, all of this indicates Erdogan's malicious intentions to restore the colonialist state in all North Syria.

Begone, begone of realizing his wrong dream. The revolution is still ongoing and the heroes of Syria Democracy Forces continue to struggle for the liberation of the city from the abomination of occupation. Every day there are fierce battles and skirmishes that killed the Turkish and its mercenary assistants’s schism who accepted themselves to be a tool for Erdogan.

We, as a civil and tribal society and a democratic administration, condemn and denounce this brutal practice of Turkish occupation of our territory. We consider international community, the United Nations, the Security Council and the humanitarian organizations responsible for it what is happening in Afrin from the occupation, violations, genocide and demographic change. We affirm ourselves to all communities in Syria and all the Syrian people in general and North Syrian in particular on the importance of awareness and solidarity to repel conspiracies against us and stand united and join hands together in the face of brutal aggression on our territory.

On behalf al al-Karama area's people and its countryside and all its institutions, we salute the resistance of Afrin and salute Afrin people and tell them we are with you and we are struggling with you to liberate our beautiful and quiet beloved Afrin city."

After the statement was delivered, the chants of salute steadfastness of Afrin people and rejecting the Turkish occupation were heard,
