Details, outcomes of clashes erupted in west of Kobanî

Local and military sources from the villages of western Kobanî confirmed that the clashes have stopped on the border after the killing of a Turkish soldier and the fall of 15 shells and a missile on the villages west of Kobanî.

On the details of the Turkish occupation army’s attacks on the villages west of Kobanî and the clashes that broke out there, local and military sources from that area told Hawar news agency (ANHA) that the Turkish occupation army launched on Tuesday at approximately 16:30 attacks with heavy weapons, rockets, obis and tank shells along the border with the western villages of Kobanî. The attacks focused on the villages of Ashmeh, Jarqli and Qaran.

The local and military sources in the area confirmed the fall of 15 missiles and shells on the mentioned villages that inflicted financial damage to houses and properties.

The sources pointed out that the People and Women Protection Units intervened to protect the villages, and clashes broke out and lasted for nearly two hours. In the outcome of the clashes, the killing of one of the soldiers of the Turkish occupation army was confirmed, while no casualties were recorded in the ranks of the units and Kobanî villages’ people.

Furthermore, the area is currently witnessing a cautious calm.
