HPG's media center issued a written statement that included:

"Within the revolutionary campaign launched by Guerrilla Forces on behalf of the Martyrs Agirî and Pîroz in Bradost and Zagros, on April 27, our forces carried out large-scale operations against the enemy army which seeks to occupy Başûr Kurdistan in Lêlikan Hill. In the operation carried out by 8 wings, 34 enemy soldiers were killed. In the revolutionary operation, our companion Serdem Pier fought heroically, and reached the rank of martyrdom.
