PDKS: Demographic change in Afrin is crime Turkey must be accountable for

In a written statement, the party appealed to all international organizations, led by United Nations and human rights organizations, to intervene and stop the Turkish genocide in Afrin.

The text of the statement:

Turkish state is one of the most prominent external entities that have diverted the Syrian revolution from its peaceful course and transformed it into militarization by opening its borders to extremists from all parts of the world seeking to create a sectarian war.

After failing to do so, it occupied Jarablus and al-Bab cities and penetrated the Syrian opposition and sent it according to its own agendas, and trained and funded extremist gangs / al-Nusra- Daesh/ and sent them to Syrian territory under the supervision of Turkish intelligence, and as a result Syrian people suffered woes and tragedies of extremism from the systematic killing, Daesh tried and with real support of Turkey to occupy Kobani canton, but its steadfastness and support of its allies led to the defeat and prosecution of its remnants in Manbij, al-Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor and the elimination of the desired state.

This victory did not appeal to the Turkish state, and with the introduction of the components of North Syria projects of the solution needed for Syria as a North Syria federation, Turkey began direct military intervention and attacked Afrin canton and occupied it and began its plan for demographic change, Afrin canton is the one that has brought hundreds of thousands of displaced people from various Syrian cities, Turkish state has housed those who left the Eastern Gouta and the surrounding areas in Afrin and prevented the residents from returning, this is considered a crime under international conventions.

We appeal to all the international organizations, especially United Nations and human rights organizations to stop these acts of aggression / genocide, we also appeal to the peoples of the area to face Turkey and thwart the aggressive plans aimed at restoring the glory of Ottoman Sultanate because Afrin is part of Syrian homeland.

Victory to Afrin ... Glory and immortality to our martyrs ... shame and disgrace to the occupiers. "

The party's statement comes with Turkish authorities' resolution in resettling the displaced people from different parts of Syria in Afrin, a move observers say is to change the demographics of the area, while preventing the original Afrin residents from returning to their homes.
