Serê Kanîyê components commemorated Armenians massacres’ victims

By the end of the 103rd anniversary of the Armenian genocide committed by the Ottoman Empire against the Armenian people, a commemorative ceremony was held on Tuesday in Serê Kanîyê area in Hahsakah canton, and dozens of Serê Kanîyê people from all components, representatives of the civil society organizations and the military forces attended the ceremony.

The ceremony which was held in the Armenian Orthodox Monastery began with holding a minute of silence and chanting the national anthem of the Armenians. Then, Freij Kishishian on behalf of the Arminians welcomed the audience.

Then, Virgin Jababil Sandi talked on behalf of the Armenians in Serê Kanîyê said, "We met on Tuesday to commemorate the victims of the Armenian massacre committed by the Ottomans against the Armenian people 103 years ago."

Virgin added, "This massacre resulted in martyring 1.5 million Armenians, but until now, there is an international silence about the massacre. The Turkish state, the successor of the Ottoman Empire, repeats today the scenario of the massacre in Afrin. "

Baker Esso also spoke at the ceremony on behalf of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), and condemned the massacre that was committed against the Armenians, and pointed out that the massacre was the result of the fascist mentality of the Ottoman state. Baker Esso also pointed out that the massacre committed 103 years ago against the Armenians is repeated today against the Kurds.

Baker Esso called for standing together against all the policies of genocide and to circumvent the democratic nation's project.
