Demo in Amuda demanded Ocalan's freedom

Amouda Area Council organized a demonstration, and hundreds of people from the area and its villages participated in the demonstration to denounce the severe isolation imposed on the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan.

Representatives of Kongra Star, Democratic Autonomous Administration, Martyrs' Families Council and hundreds of residents of the district participated in the demonstration holding Kurdish flags and symbols and the pictures of the democratic nation's leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The demonstration launched in front of Rojava Youth Center. The demonstration toured the main streets of the district, and headed towards the Free Women Square in the east of the district chanting the slogans that salute the Kurdish people leader Abdullah Ocalan in addition to phrases that condemn the Turkish violations against Ocalan.

The demonstration stopped by the Free Women Square. Then, the participants held a moment of silence, followed by a speech delivered by the head of the Executive Council in al-Jazeera region Abdul Karim Sarokhan who pointed out, "It is necessary for all the components of North Syria to unite in order to achieve freedom for the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan."

Serokhan made it clear, "The coming generations would follow the path that we have taken from the ideology and philosophy of the leader of the democratic nation Abdullah Ocalan, and we will take revenge on every client and traitor to the country and its people."

For her part, Kongra Star's member in Amuda Shahnaz Asaad praised the active role of women in Rojava and North Syria Revolution.

Shahnaz said "Ocalan's thought saved women from the constraints of authoritarian mentality and called for equality between men and women in the society and to be given their rights in all domains of life."

The demonstration ended with chanting slogans condemning the isolation imposed on Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan and the slogans glorifying him.
