Al-Tabqa people bid farewell SDF martyrs who fought IS

The fighters Awad al-Akil whose nom de guerre Awad and Shuja Ahmad al-Ruwaili, nom de guerre Shuja martyred and they were bid farewell to their last resting place in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor governorate as Syria's Democratic Forces lead al-Jazeera Tempest campaign against IS mercenaries.

Although IS remained in a small area on the Syrian-Iraqi borders, the task of eliminating them was delayed, after the Turkish attack on Afrin in past January, the attack which many people considered it as the revival of IS mercenaries.

The funeral procession consisting of dozens of vehicles launched in front of the al-Tabqa National Hospital passing through the main streets of al-Tabqa to al-Tabqa martyrs’ cemetery.

In the cemetery, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) performed a military parade that was followed by holding a minute of silence. Then, the documents of the two martyrs were read and delivered to their families. After that, the two martyrs’ corpses were put in their resting place after the funeral's prayer held by the people.
