Massive demo held in al-Hasakah against Turkish occupation, demands Ocalan's freedom

Hundreds of al-Hasakah residents marched on Sunday a demonstration to support Resistance of the Age and to condemn the isolation imposed on Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The demonstration was organized by Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM), and launched from the Sinalco Square with the participation of hundreds residents with all components. The demonstrators carried banners with "Stop the genocide in Afrin, no for Afrin's occupation” written on in addition to chanting slogans that call for Ocalan's freedom.

Then, the co-chair of al-Jazeera Council Samar Abdullah delivered a speech in which she condemned the isolation imposed on the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan. She called on Human Rights organizations and organizations concerned with the rights of detainees to intervene to raise the isolation imposed on the leader, to disclose the status of Ocalan and allow his lawyer to visit him.

The demonstration ended with chanting slogans that call for Ocalan's freedom and salute the Resistance of the Age.
