Internal Security in al-Tabqa  says activity of IS gangs increased coinciding with Turkish attack on Afrin

Turkey and mercenary gangs launched an attack on Afrin with a green light on January 20 against Syrian  Democratic Forces (SDF), which are still on going of operate against Zahed in his last pocket on the Syrian-Iraqi border.

Despite liberation and the beginning of stability and security in the area began to appear suspicious movements of sleeper cells of mercenaries coinciding with the Turkish aggression on Afrin.

In this regard, the administrator of the Office of the General Department of the Internal Security forces in al-Tabqa Mohammed Bolat said, "After liberating al-Tabqa city began sleeper cells to do its malicious work to hit the security and stability of the region, these cells belonging to the Turkish occupation, and evidence that the malicious movements emerged with the attack of occupation Turkish on Afrin ".

Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have warned on more than one occasion that the Turkish aggression against Afrin would revive IS gangs which the United States warned it but did nothing to curb Turkey.

Bolat said "The internal security forces were able to arrest several cells after monitoring the movements and control of the elements and during the investigation proved to be associated with the Turkish occupier, who sought to recruit mercenaries to cause chaos and hit the security of the region to serve his interests."

About two weeks ago, the Internal Security Forces arrested a sleeper cell of al-Tabqa city .

The efforts of the internal security forces to consolidate the stability of the region through the ongoing patrols in addition to the actions taken at different checkpoints.

During the Turkish aggression, accompanied by international silence, Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) sent some 1,500 fighters to front lines against IS gangs in North Syria areas to Afrin canton to participation in countering the Turkish aggression.

 Bolat pledged "to move forward with the elimination of all terrorist cells in the area ."
