Al-Shahba, Afrin people held ceremonies for Resistance of Age martyrs

Hundreds of Afrin and al-Shahba cantons’ residents and the martyrs’ families gathered on Tursday in Berxwedan camp in al-Shahba to hold funeral ceremonies for the Resistance of the Age's martyrs.

The ceremonies began by holding a minute of silence that was followed by delivering a number of speeches including a speech on behalf of Kongra Star gave by Fatima Lekto, a speech on behalf of the Martyrs' Families Council delivered by Mohammed Olu, in addition to a speech delivered by the co-chair of the Executive Committee of the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) Aldar Khalil.

The speeches began by offering condolences to the families of the martyrs, and praising the heroines presented by the martyrs in defense of Afrin against the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries despite all the advanced weapons and the aircrafts used in the bombing of Afrin.

The speeches stressed on the need for the people to be fully confident that the blood that rotted the dust of Afrin will not go in vain, and the need to continue resistance and struggle in addition to following the footsteps of the martyrs, and to not surrender to the enemy neither physically nor psychologically, stressing that with the spirit of Resistance of the Age and the martyrs' sacrifices in addition to the struggle of its fighters, Afrin would win and be liberated from the hands of the Turkish occupier and its mercenaries.

Furthermore, the speeches renewed the covenant to follow the footsteps of the martyrs until victory would be achieved, and the people of Afrin would be returned to their homes.
