The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said," The regime forces and its allied militias are on high alert and have taken precautionary measures in the military bases and locations throughout the country amid fears of imminent US military attack."

The Syrian Observatory pointed out that the regime forces have been holed up in their positions for 72 hours.

Furthermore, the US president Donald Trump promised to respond strongly to the chemical attack on Douma city in the earlier of this week, and the US military planners set out several options for carrying out a possible military response against Syria; launching rocket strikes.
