Demonstration in Aleppo condemned isolation on Ocalan

Hundreds of people from Aleppo; Kurds, Arabs, Armenians and Christians participated in the demonstration organized by the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) to denounce the isolation imposed on Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The demonstration began in front of the meeting shelter in the western section of the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood and toured the main streets of the neighborhood. It chanted slogans denouncing the inhuman situation of the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan raising pictures of Ocalan, martyrs and Kurdish symbols.

The protesters held a minute of silence followed by a speech delivered by a member of Martyrs' Families Council in Aleppo, Nidal Haj Hussein, and a speech by the co-chair for Democratic Society Movement in Aleppo, Mohammed Sheikh.

The speeches stressed that the intentions of the Turkish government to occupy Afrin and extend its influence on other areas of Syria linked to the policies of isolation imposed by the Turkish government on detainees and intellectuals such as the leader Abdullah Ocalan to prevent the spread of their ideas and opinions.

The words stressed that they continue to struggle in all forms and in every part of the world to defeat the Turkish occupation and expel it from Afrin and the Syrian lands in addition to lifting the isolation imposed on the Kurdish people leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The speeches confirmed that the Kurdish people are continuing their path towards freedom drawn by the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan.

The demonstration ended with slogans echoing the resistance of Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan and calling for his freedom.

The series of events against the policy of isolation imposed on the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan continue in all areas of northern Syria demanding to lift the isolation.
