AL-TABQA– The Christians in al-Tabqa city celebrated Akito on Sunday for the first time since 2012, After they were denied celebrating by the mercenary gangs on their holidays and practicing their religious ceremony till liberation by SDF's fighters on May 10, 2017.

A member of the Religious Affairs Institutions of al-Tabqa Nasser al-Junaid, congratulated the Christians in al-Tabqa and the world in general on Akito holiday.

"This ancient cultural heritage, especially after liberation of the region from IS gangs stressing the need to "unite among the components of society to erase the malicious ideas left behind by IS gangs and armed factions."

Sheikh Ali stressed the importance of co-existence and peace between communities and religions at this stage in Syria.

Sheikh Nasser pointed out "all the religions of heaven called for peace and the sanctity of innocent blood.”
