Hundreds of employees of Basur region have demonstrated in several cities in protest against the announcement by the government of the system of compulsory saving in the salaries of employees and demanded payment of their salaries in full and on schedule.

NEWS DESK-Hundreds of employees in several cities of the Kurdistan region, especially the health and education sectors have declared a strike the first such move since the regional government announced the system of "Compulsory Saving" in the salaries of employees and went out to demonstrate.

The strike included employees of the cities of Hewler and Sulaymaniya capital of the region and some areas of Dohuk governorate.

In Hewlerhundreds of employees from the health and education sectors have declared a strike at all hospitals and schools in the city.

In Sulaymaniyah city  tens of thousands of angry employees marched to the local government headquarters, demanding full salaries without saving, otherwise "they will continue the general strike."

As scheduled to be held on Sunday, an important meeting inHewler cityto discuss the financial situation of the Kurdistan Regional Government and the system of saving the salaries of employees. With the participation of the Prime Minister and his Deputy, the Ministers of Finance and Natural Resources and a number of officials in the financial field.
