Huge process in stages to rehabilitate culture center in al-Tabqa by culture committee

 AL-TABQA _IS gangs dominated on the area for 4 years ago they used all kinds available to strip the people of their ancient cultures

On10 May after liberating al-Tabqa city form grip IS gangs by the hands of the fighters (SDF) ,Arab culture begune to re-establish itself.

The Culture and Art Committee began its first steps 10 days ago to restore the cultural center located in the second neighborhood, which was to remove the remaining rubble in the center and clean it of dirt followed by the step to extend electricity and installation of doors and restoration from abroad.

Despite of lack capabilities and difficults to complete this step the active spirite will be the basis fot its rehabiliation

The Culture Committee finished cleaning the ground floor and the first to start now in the Grand Theater.

The Administor of the theater office Firas Ramadan said " We started to rehabilitate the center after the destruction by IS gangs we finished almost completely cleaning the center and then began to connect the electrical wires and install the doors."

The library, which included thousands of books and literary halls that hosted prominent literary figures and poets in Syria and the Arab world, which has been robbed and looted from various factions that have taken over the region before, will be allocated an exhibition of children's drawings and the return of all existing activities.

"After the completion of the cultural center in al-Tabqa will be the start of the rehabilitation of cultural centers in al-Jarnyia and al- Mansoura and any cultural center will be rehabilitated and the main objective is to rebuild the culture again, our society needs to return to its cultures because any civilized society is based only on culture ".

The second step is likely to begin in the coming weeks.
