1000s Kurds in 6 European countries protest against Syrian Interim Govt.'s attacks on Rojava

On Saturday evening, numerous European capitals and cities witnessed large demonstrations protesting the attacks on Rojava in North and East Syria, as the participants demanded an immediate end to these attacks.

In Vienna, Austria, thousands of Kurds from all four parts of Kurdistan (East, West, North, and South), along with their supporters, held a demonstration kicked off at the Austrian Parliament building. The participants carried banners on which the English slogan "Defend Rojava" was written. Another demonstration is scheduled to be held in Vienna today at 6:00 PM CET.

In the German cities of Cologne and Frankfurt, tens of thousands of Kurds and their supporters participated in two large demonstrations, condemning the attacks targeting the Kurdish people in North and East Syria. Women, youth, and children participated in both demonstrations, carrying banners on which "Long live the Rojava resistance" and "Kobane is under siege," was written, chanting slogans including, "One, one, one... the Kurdish people are one."

The Canadian city of Vancouver also witnessed a demonstration in which thousands of Kurds and their advocators participated in support of the Rojava resistance and to affirm their solidarity with the Kurdish people. The demonstrators chanted the slogan, "Women, life, freedom."

France

In Marseille, activists and supporters of the Kurdish cause gathered at la Plaine yard at 1:00 PM, holding banners that included "Marseille stand in solidarity with Kurdistan" and chanting slogans such as "Rojava is not alone," "Long live the Rojava resistance," and "Women, life, freedom."

The French capital, Paris, also witnessed a massive rally, with thousands of people participating in response to the call for general mobilization with the participation of Revolutionary organizations and Kurdish institutions. The protesters marched to the rally square, chanting slogans in support of Rojava, including "Rojava will be free," "Long live the unity of the Kurdish people," and "Women, life, freedom." Speeches delivered at the rally emphasized that these were "crimes against humanity," and called on European countries to take a clear stance on the situation.

The Netherlands

In the Dutch capital, Amsterdam, thousands of people held a similar demonstration, raising flags of the People's Protection Units (YPG) and the Women's Protection Units (YPJ), as well as banners condemning the international conspiracy against Rojava. Among the slogans held were "Rojava is the dignity of humanity" and "Long live the Rojava revolution," along with chants supporting Kobane and the unity of the Kurdish people.

Norway

In Oslo, the capital of Norway, a massive march was held in response to the call launched by Kurdish institutions and organizations. Thousands of Kurds and their supporters participated in the event, waving flags of the People's Protection Units (YPG) and the Women's Protection Units (YPJ), and carrying banners supporting the Autonomous Administration and the Rojava Revolution. Furthermore, information leaflets were also distributed, and participants called for escalating actions and pressuring European countries to take a stand against the attacks.
