10 ISIS mercenaries captured in Deir ez-Zor countryside

In a special operation, the SDF apprehended several members of ISIS cells in Deir ez-Zor. In a statement, the SDF confirmed: “As part of our ongoing security operations to track down the remnants of ISIS terrorist cells, our Commando Forces, in coordination with the Internal Security Forces, carried out a special and precise security operation yesterday, Thursday, in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, targeting and arresting members of ISIS terrorist cells.”

The operation followed extensive intelligence gathering, including tracking and locating the suspects’ hideouts and monitoring their terrorist activities. After confirming their locations, the SDF imposed a tight security cordon around the area and successfully captured ten individuals involved in terrorist acts against SDF forces, civilians, and public service institutions.

Weapons and ammunition were also seized during the arrests.

The SDF emphasized that its forces will continue their military and security campaigns against ISIS cells throughout North and East Syria and remain determined to strike decisively until all material and ideological sources of the terrorist group are eliminated.
