The death sentences handed down by the Iranian authorities against activists Bakhshan Azizi, Warisha Moradi, and Sharifa Mohammadi, who are imprisoned in Iran, have sparked widespread outrage both locally and internationally.

In this context, Zenobia Women’s Gathering expressed its strong anger and condemnation of "the unjust sentences issued against political activists in Iran, Bakhshan Azizi, Warisha Moradi, and Sharifa Mohammadi."

In a statement released today (February 22), Zenobia Women’s Gathering declared that the death sentences issued against the three activists are "a disgrace to humanity and undeniable proof of the Iranian regime's tyranny and suppression of freedom of expression."

The statement described these sentences as "a desperate attempt to silence the voice of truth and intimidate anyone who dares to demand freedom and justice."

It continued: "The Iranian regime, which has long violated human rights, is now using these harsh sentences to send a message that it will not tolerate any opposition, no matter how peaceful."

The gathering affirmed in its statement that "these sentences will only strengthen our determination to continue the struggle for freedom and justice. We believe that the voice of truth will ultimately prevail and that oppression will not last forever."

The statement called on the international community, human rights organizations, and all free people around the world "to stand with us against this injustice and take immediate action to save the lives of these activists."

It also warned that the lives of Bakhshan, Warisha, and Sharifa are in extreme danger and that any delay in intervention could lead to a catastrophe.

In conclusion, the statement urged the United Nations to take a firm stance against these "unjust" sentences and to pressure the Iranian regime to revoke them immediately. It emphasized, "We, the women of Zenobia Women’s Gathering, affirm that we will not remain silent in the face of this injustice and will continue to fight for freedom and justice until victory is achieved. We believe that our solidarity is our strongest weapon and that our unity is the source of our strength."
