YPJ affirms support for Al-Hilal Women’s Team

The General Command of the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) received a delegation from Al-Hilal Women’s Team to discuss the issues and challenges the team has faced in recent times. During the meeting, the leadership reaffirmed their full support for the players’ journey and emphasized the importance of continued backing to further develop the team and enable it to achieve more accomplishments.

Members of the General Command of the YPJ, Rojhlat Afrin, the spokesperson of the YPJ Roxan Mohammed, and Military Council member Destina Aleppo, received the delegation of Al-Hilal Women’s Team to discuss the problems the team and its players have faced recently, according to the official website of the YPJ.

The meeting included extensive discussions on the reality of women’s sports and the challenges faced by female athletes. The leadership stressed their full support for Al-Hilal team’s journey both inside and outside the country, underlining the importance of continued support to sustain the team’s development and empower the players to achieve further success in the coming period.

For their part, Al-Hilal players expressed their gratitude to the General Command of the YPJ for its support of women’s issues in general, and women’s sports and the team in particular. They affirmed their determination to represent women in the best possible way and continue achieving success under the slogan “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” (Woman, Life, Freedom).
