Young man killed in Homs countryside

A young man was killed, and two others from the family were injured during an armed robbery in the western countryside of Homs.

On Sunday morning, the village of Danha in the western countryside of Homs witnessed an armed robbery that resulted in the death of a young man and the injury of two family members.

ANHA correspondent reported that an armed group stormed the home of Adel al-Hussein, known as "Abo Suleiman," at around 2:30 a.m., intending to steal. When family members attempted to confront the attackers, the gunmen opened fire indiscriminately, killing Hamza al-Hussein (17 years old), a high school student.

His brother, Suleiman al-Hussein (25 years old), was wounded in the hand, while their father, Adel al-Hussein, was seriously injured in the chest. The injured were transferred to a hospital in the city for receiving the medical treatment.

Areas under the control of the transitional government in Syria are witnessing an increase in robberies and armed attacks on civilians, amid the lawlessness and security chaos that these areas plague it.
