Yazidi Women's Freedom Movement announces its joining to"I Want to Meet Abdullah Öcalan" campaign

In a statement delivered by the Yazidi Women's Freedom Movement (TAJÊ) in Leader Apo's garden in Shengal, Southern Kurdistan, today, the movement's spokeswoman revealed their joining of the global campaign demanding access to Leader Abdullah Ocalan, according to the Furat News Agency (ANF).

Spokesperson Reham Hajo stated that, as a women's movement, they support this campaign, explaining that the isolation regime is still imposed on Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and that the struggle will continue until his physical freedom is achieved.

The statement added: "With this goal in mind, the Yazidi Women's Freedom Movement launched the "Read Leader APO's Philosophy and Teach Him" campaign, which aims to disseminate the leader's ideas. As Yazidi women, our demand is to break the isolation regime imposed on Leader Abdullah Öcalan and achieve his freedom. The leader's physical freedom is our freedom as Yazidi women."

For her part, Khokhi Jundi, speaking on behalf of the martyrs' mothers , emphasized that Yazidi women must empathize with Leader Abdullah Ocalan. She said: "As women and a society that has overcome genocide, we want to see the leader free. We must see him free, be able to meet him and see his situation with our own eyes."

In a related context, Avesta Azda, on behalf of the young women in Shengal, confirmed her full solidarity with the statement of the Yazidi Women's Freedom Movement campaign. She emphasized the importance of Leader Abdullah Ocalan's message for the Yazidi community and Yazidi women. She pointed out the importance of women embracing the leader's message and training themselves more, stressing the need to strengthen the struggle to achieve the leader's physical freedom.
