Today, the Yazidi House issued a statement to the public, in front of its center located in the western section of the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo, with the participation of members and representatives of civil institutions.

The statement was read in 2 languages: Arabic by Yazidi House member Almas Soko, and Kurdish by Yazidi House member Said Javish.

The statement condemned "the policy of systematic isolation against leader Abdullah Ocalan and his comrades in Imrali Prison, which has entered its 26th year and continues in a more brutal manner, as stated by the lawyers of the Asr Office, that at the beginning of last May, the Turkish authorities imposed a new isolation on their clients."

The statement also mentioned "some of the leader's statements, in which he said (the Yazidi Kurds are the original Kurds, and they are the guardians of Kurdish language and culture, and campaigns of extermination against them continue and will continue to end their existence, and when the Yazidi religion disappears from existence; it will not last long before the Kurdish language itself disappears), and he also said: We are with you, and we will remain with you, as your existence is a continuation of ours."

The statement affirmed "in response to his insightful words, we say: we are with you, you who have always been and continue to be the active Yazidi entity and defender of our freedom, and we will stand with you until achieving a dignified life worthy of all peoples, religions, and components coexisting on the land of Kurdistan and Mesopotamia altogether."

The statement indicates that, " at this stage, our duty is to struggle more seriously and responsibly and to expand its scope, through various methods and approaches that take the freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan and the political solution to the Kurdish issue as its basis, on local, regional, and international levels, and to expand the scope of our alliances with the region's components."

The statement urged "the Kurdish movements and parties, as well as the Free Democrats worldwide, and human rights organizations and those concerned with people's issues to fulfill their entrusted roles, to restore balance to international politics, which has become devoid of its legal and humanitarian legitimacy."

The statement emphasized "joining our voice to the demand of Ocalan's lawyers and their plea to the United Nations to urgently intervene, and to send a committee from them or from the CPT to Imrali Island, to monitor the situation of leader Abdullah Ocalan and his comrades there and issue a statement in this regard.”
