Women’s Security Forces capture Turkish-backed spy network

The Internal Security Forces – Women issued a statement revealing that the recruitment network—made up of three women and one man—had been working for Turkish intelligence services, providing information on locations and positions of Internal Security Forces and military leaders in Tishrin Dam and the city of Raqqa.

The statement added that the Internal Security Forces – Women, within the General Security Directorate, succeeded in uncovering this network, which had attempted to affect the security and stability of the region. Thanks to the vigilance and high efficiency of the security apparatus, the attempt was thwarted before it could begin operationally.

During their confessions, members of the network admitted that they communicated with Turkish officers through a translator, who asked them to work for them and provide coordinates and information on sensitive military and security sites. They noted that they had already sent some coordinates in exchange for small sums of money before being arrested by the General Security Directorate of the Internal Security Forces.

The Internal Security Forces – Women published the full confessions of this cell that had worked for Turkish occupation intelligence and whose aim was to destabilize the security and stability of the North and East Syria.
