Women organizations commemorate Halinj Massacre martyrs, call to intensify struggle
Women's organizations in the North and East Syria region commemorated the martyrs of the Halinj massacre, Amineh Waisi, Zehra Berkel, and Hebun Mala Khalil, and called on the Kurdish people and women's organizations to intensify their struggle and expose the crimes of the Turkish occupation state.

In this context, the Kongra Star Council issued a written statement to commemorate the martyrs of the massacre.
The statement affirmed that the hostility of the Turkish occupation state and its allies towards the Kurdish people, liberation movements, and women's organizations has persisted for years. This hostility has increased, especially after the July 19th Revolution in the North and East Syria region because this revolution marked a stand against ruling, racist, religious, and nationalist regimes through the model of a democratic nation.
The statement added, "Martyrs Zehra, Hebun, and Mother Amineh fought against the oppressive and murderous enemy, sacrificing their lives for this struggle. It is clear that our comrades were the main targets of this attack, as the Turkish occupation state attempts to rescue ISIS mercenaries through such attacks on the leaders of the struggle for freedom."
The statement emphasized, "The Kurdish people and women's organizations must elevate their struggle and expose the crimes and violations of the Turkish occupation state."
Additionally, the Zenobia Women’s Assembly issued a written statement, asserting that "the Halinj massacre is not just a fleeting incident in the record of the Turkish occupation state's crimes against the Kurdish people and its targeted assassinations of fighting leaders using drones, but it is a stain on humanity’s conscience."
The statement stressed, "The memory of the Halinj massacre martyrs will remain alive in our hearts, and the struggle of the women of Rojava will continue to be a beacon guiding our paths toward a better future, one characterized by freedom, equality, and social justice. We renew our pledge to continue along your path, the path of struggle and resistance, until all the goals of our revolution, the revolution of women and the people, are achieved in a democratic, pluralistic, decentralized, and free Syria where women's rights are protected.”
