Women in the city of Kobani, in the Euphrates region, expressed their views regarding popular resistance and the siege imposed on the city by factions of the Interim Government backed by the Turkish occupying state.

In this context, citizen Fatima Khalil saluted the resistance of the people, saying: “Our people are waging an unparalleled resistance, and this resistance continues to this day. We salute our people in the four parts of Kurdistan who rose up for us. Just as the people of Kobani defeated ISIS mercenaries who represented the filth of the world, today’s resistance of Kobani has united the four parts of Kurdistan.”

Fatima explained that the city of Kobani remains under siege and that popular resistance continues, adding: “It is true that we are living under a suffocating siege, but we are proud of our resistance. We are confident that our resistance will prevail and that we will write historical epics through it. We will always stand behind our leaders and will never abandon the path of resistance.”

For her part, citizen Nadia Hasso confirmed that a people who have been resisting for years will never give up the path of resistance and will protect the achievements of their revolution. She continued: “The enemy wants to break our will and undermine our gains, but we will not abandon resistance. We will remain steadfast until the end and protect our legacy.”

Nadia also emphasized that “resistance is life,” stressing that they will continue to strengthen their struggle and will never abandon the path of resistance.

Meanwhile, citizen Badia Mahou said that the Kurdish people live in a state of daily resistance and protect the gains of their revolution, adding: “The people of Kobani always resist in the face of the enemy and will continue struggling until the end to defeat the enemy. This is not the first time the people of Kobani have resisted. Even if we are asked to resist a thousand times, we will resist, and victory will always be our ally.”
