Women: Leader's freedom essential for peace, stability in Middle East

Despite the steps taken by the Kurdistan Liberation Movement in response to the call of leader Abdullah Ocalan, the Turkish state has yet to take any serious steps within the framework of the peace process.

In this context, citizen Mara Zoro, from the city of Amuda, affirmed that leader Abdullah Ocalan insists on peace and reaching a just solution to the Kurdish issue, noting that the Turkish state is stalling in granting him "the right to hope" and ignoring all calls for peace.

For her part, citizen Shirin Darbas emphasized that the Turkish state has disregarded all positive steps related to the peace initiative launched by leader Abdullah Öcalan, despite the peace initiatives he and the guerrillas have presented. She pointed out that Turkey, on the contrary, has intensified its actions and ignited a war in Syria against the Kurdish people, and is attempting to sow discord among the various Syrian communities.

Meanwhile, citizen Dilber Shaker demanded the release of leader Abdullah Ocalan, asserting that they see their own freedom as inextricably linked to his, and that resolving the issues of the Middle East hinges on his attaining physical freedom.
