Women in Tal Tamr demand freedom for leader Abdullah Ocalan

The statement was read by Hadla Abdul Wahhab Younis, an administrator at the Women’s House, in the Martyrs’ Families Council Garden in the city, with the participation of dozens of civil society members, representatives of political parties, local female community figures, and women from the city.

The statement condemned the strict and ongoing isolation imposed on leader Abdullah Ocalan and firmly rejected all forms of oppression and violations of his human and legal rights.

It pointed out that the leader’s thought has transcended prison walls and isolation, reaching the peoples of the world, carrying the values of freedom, democracy, and peace.

The statement highlighted that his struggle demonstrated that prisons do not extinguish the truth; rather, they turn it into a space for resilience and intellectual radiance, contributing to the understanding and realization of freedom for humanity.

It emphasized that women of Rojava draw strength of will and steadfastness from leader Ocalan’s thought, and that the women’s struggle for freedom and justice finds in his philosophy a foundation for building a democratic and ethical society.

The statement explicitly called for lifting his isolation and releasing him, enabling the resumption of dialogue and continuation of the peace process.

It concluded by affirming the continuation of organizing events, marches, and issuing statements until the release of leader Abdullah Ocalan from Imrali Prison, with a call to break the isolation and open a new horizon for solutions and dialogue that serve the peoples of the region and humanity.
