He pointed out in a message conveyed by his nephew, Omar Ocalan, a member of the parliament from the Peoples' Democratic Party in Urfa, after meeting with him, following 44 continuous months of news blackout, that "if the conditions are met, I have the theoretical and practical strength to shift this process from the ground of conflict and violence to the legal and political ground."
