Some social media pages reported today that residents of the al-Hamdaniya neighborhood of Aleppo found the body of an unidentified woman, it was naked from her clothes laying on the main highway.

Despite the widespread circulation of a video clip of the crime and the uproar it caused in the media, the security forces affiliated with the Damascus authorities have remained silent, without issuing any official statement at the time of writing.

The pages that circulated the news also noted discrepancies regarding the timing of the crime. Some assert that it occurred at dawn today, while others claim it occurred the previous day, further increasing the mystery surrounding the case.

ANHA's agency refrained from publishing the woman's photo, out of respect for her human dignity, appreciation for the feelings of her family and public opinion, and out of refusal to exploit tragedies in photos that violate privacy.
