"We stand with Northern Kurdistan"

After the decision of the Turkish authorities to dismiss the mayors of 3 municipalities in Northern Kurdistan, and appoint guardians for them who are affiliated with the Justice and Development Party AKP, popular reactions denouncing the decision have escalated, especially in Kurdish circles.

We stand with Northern Kurdistan

In this regard, Ahmed Bakr, a member of the People's Municipality in the Ashrafieh and Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhoods in Aleppo, said that the work of the municipalities is focused on administration, and represents the will of the people by appointing their mayors through popular elections, and accordingly, the practices of the Turkish state amount to being against nature and the will of the people.

Ahmed stressed that the Justice and Development Party wants direct control over all aspects of life in northern Kurdistan, and therefore they stand wholeheartedly with the people of Northern Kurdistan, against the exclusionary policies they are exposed to.

Ahmed believes that the word "justice" should be removed from the name of the "Fascist Erdogan" party, as it opposes the true meaning of the name with its actions.

The Turkish regime is cunning and deceitful

As for the administrator in the People's Municipality in Aleppo, Engineer Hussein Muhammad, he described the dominant authorities in Turkey as deceitful and cunning, because they work to mislead public opinion with false accusations to isolate legitimate and elected mayors.

Hussein also noted that these policies based on rejecting the other will not help in the issue of resolving the Kurdish issue peacefully in the four parts, saying: "The policy of war and peace is not applied simultaneously, the recent actions revealed the falsity of the speeches of Bahceli, Erdogan's partner, and revealed their true intentions."

The sustainability of dictatorship is a threat to Turkey and Kurdistan

In her turn, the member of the People's Municipality in Aleppo, Berivan Komo, said that Erdogan's policies are not new, as they have always been based on oppression and denial, and the practical application of this policy was clearly demonstrated by the dismissal of mayors and the arrest of some of them in a move aimed at undermining the freedom and will of the Kurdish people in Northern Kurdistan.

Berivan sees the exclusionary policies against democracy pursued by the Turkish state as nothing but a threat to the future of the peoples, not only in Kurdistan but also in Turkey, as they work to sustain dictatorship in the country.
