Mercenaries of the Syrian interim government are currently shelling the vicinity of the Lafarge Cement Plant and the village of Jallabiyah, east of the city of Kobani, with heavy weapons.

Field sources reported the outbreak of intense clashes around the Lafarge Cement Plant and the village of Jallabiyah east of Kobani, following an attack launched by mercenaries of the interim government and ISIS using heavy weaponry.

The sources stated that the People’s Protection Units (YPG), the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), and the Syrian Democratic Forces are responding forcefully to the attack, resulting in the destruction of two tanks and the killing of a number of mercenaries.

The attacks and clashes are still ongoing in the Jallabiyah area amid escalating field tensions and a new violation by mercenaries of the interim government of the ceasefire that came into effect the day before yesterday and is set to last for 15 days.
