The Turkish occupation established a new military base in Bradost in Southern Kurdistan, with the support of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, which was stationed in its plains.

The media affiliated with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (YNK) reported that the Turkish occupation had established a new military base in the Bradost region, advancing 10 kilometers into the territory of southern Kurdistan by building this new base.

According to Furat News Agency, citing local sources, “the occupation landed approximately 100 occupying soldiers at the Bradost base by helicopter.”

The aforementioned new military base is located in Doré Square, and through this base, which cuts off a patrol from Khakurk, the squares of Tarstan, Kam Kora, and Senin Loulan have become squares occupied by the Turkish occupation.

It pointed out that the Turkish occupation established this military base after the Kurdistan Democratic Party (PDK) forces were stationed in the Bradost region, and hundreds of its armored vehicles, loaded with heavy weapons, entered the region on September 13, 2023, as they had given travelers 24 hours to leave before entering. The area, and thus forced them out with threats and pressure.

The agency reported from local sources that 286 families, including travelers and farmers, were forced to leave Bradost, their orchards and fields as a result of pressure exerted against them by the forces of the Kurdistan Democratic Party.

The agency confirmed that "the Turkish occupation bombs the Bradost region daily with warplanes, reconnaissance, artillery, and mortar shells."
