Turkish occupation aircraft have bombed the Metina mountain range and the surrounding areas of two villages in Duhok, Southern Kurdistan.

On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, Roj News reported that Turkish warplanes conducted several airstrikes on the Metina mountain range and the areas around the villages of Blafi and Kohrze, which are part of the Amadiya district in Duhok.

 The agency did not provide information regarding the damage caused by the bombardment.

 The Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) announced a ceasefire in response to the call of leader Abdullah Ocalan (Peace and Democratic Society), despite ongoing attacks by Turkish warplanes and drones on the Medya Defense Zones in Southern Kurdistan.

 The Media Center of the People's Defense Forces confirmed that, since the announcement of the ceasefire until March 17, Turkish occupation forces have attacked the Medya Defense Zones 8 times with prohibited weapons, conducted 93 air assaults, and fired heavy weapons 5,052 times.

 The center emphasized, "If Turkish attacks on our regions and forces continue, we will fulfill our duty in accordance with the right to legitimate defense."
