Kurdish Conference Preparatory Committee invites ENKS to join committee

In a move that demonstrates the effort to strengthen unity among the Kurdish movements, the Kurdish Conference Preparatory Committee announced its preparations for the conference and invited the National Council to join the committee and work together to hold the upcoming conference.

The committee's invitation came via a press release, a copy of which we received, which stated:

"The preparatory committee for the Kurdish conference has worked for three months to prepare for the conference, and was able to include representatives of civil society organizations, independents, and all Kurdish political parties in Rojava, Kurdistan, and Syria, with the exception of the Kurdish National Council parties. Despite the preparatory committee's request to meet with them, they have not responded.

Therefore, based on the meeting held yesterday between the Democratic Union Party (PYD) on the one hand and the Kurdish National Council on the other, which we consider a positive step, and which discussed the outstanding issues between the two parties, and noting the statements of the Kurdish National Council delegation, which stated that the dispute between the two parties has been resolved, we call on the Kurdish National Council parties to join the conference preparatory committee to hold the conference as soon as possible and to produce a unified document, with the blessing of all Kurdish political and societal actors, that expresses the will of the Kurdish people in Rojava, Kurdistan, and Syria."
