Turkish mercenaries kidnap couple in Afrin, loot their property

On Saturday evening, mercenary groups affiliated with the Turkish occupation army kidnapped a couple in the occupied city of Afrin after raiding their home, and stealing gold jewelry in addition to a sum of money.

As part of a series of daily violations against the indigenous population of occupied Afrin, mercenary groups affiliated with the Turkish occupation army kidnapped citizen Sabri Majeed Naasan and his wife Zainab from the village of Rotanli in Mobata district in Afrin canton. The mercenaries raided their home, and stole gold jewelry in addition to a sum of money.

This violation comes amidst an escalation in robberies and kidnappings in the occupied city, reflecting the ongoing policy of repression and intimidation against the remaining residents.

It is worth mentioning that the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries occupied the city of Afrin in January 2018, resulting in the displacement of more than 400,000 of its indigenous residents and the commission of thousands of violations and crimes against those who remained, including kidnapping, looting, and forced demographic change..
