Local sources reported that a Turkish drone crashed a short while ago near Barda shal village in Banar Qandil district of South Kurdistan.

According to Roj News Agency sources, the drone had been hovering for some time over Kozineh area, located between the villages of Zirkali and Barda shal, before crashing on the outskirts of the area.

The sources added, "The name 'Kemal Ataturk' was written on the fuselage." While official authorities in South Kurdistan or Turkey have yet to issue an official statement about the incident.

For his part, Delsher Ibrahim, the deputy mayor of Banar Qandil, confirmed in a statement to the agency that the incident had occurred and that the drone had indeed crashed.
