The Turkish occupation state continues its occupation attacks on Iraqi lands and southern Kurdistan, exploiting the silence of the Iraqi government and the complicity of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, which has sparked widespread popular discontent and rejection.

In this context, Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Rashid, one of the leaders of the al-Jawala al-Taie tribe in al-Jazira Canton, spoke and indicated that "Turkish intervention in the affairs of Arab countries is not new, but has been ongoing since the Ottoman occupation, and with flimsy pretexts such as protecting its borders."

He added, "We, the Arab tribes in Syria and Iraq, reject this intervention, which is the main reason for the complexity of crises in the region, an example of which is the Syrian crisis and Turkey's occupation of Syrian lands, and the exploitation of Syrian refugees and dealing with them in a racist manner."

Sheikh Abdul Rahman pointed out the reason for the Turkish intervention in neighboring countries, saying, "It exploits the weakness of the Arab League and its shameful positions in the face of the occupations of Arab countries."

He stressed that "the Arab tribes stand together to protect their land."

In his turn, the elder of the Arab Zubaid tribe, Mohammad al-Faris, noted that "the Arab and Kurdish tribes have honorable positions in confronting the Ottoman occupation throughout history, and that they suffered greatly from this occupation, and today these tribes in Iraq are required to stand together to confront the Turkish occupation."

He explained that "the Iraqi government is complicit with the occupiers, and this policy came after the crises that befell the Arab countries, which Turkey was a major cause of and worked to deepen."

He stressed that "ISIS/ Daesh mercenaries committed crimes in Iraq and Syria under Turkish direction, like the Ottomans. The Arab tribes support the demands of the sons of the Iraqi tribes to end the Turkish occupation of Iraqi and Syrian lands."

He stressed that "the Turkish state must respect the sovereignty of neighboring countries and stop the policy of expansion and occupation at the expense of the people of the region."

Mohammed al-Faris also referred to the solution of the Kurdish issue in the Middle East, and that “the Kurds have a right to their historical land, and the solution of their issue will solve many of the problems of the Middle East.”
