Toilers of Raqqa condemn bombing of Manbij

The Union of Workers made a statement to public opinion, in which they condemned the bombing that occurred in Manbij Canton, which claimed a number of martyrs and wounded.

The statement, which was delivered in the Al-Ittihad University building, was attended by workers and members of democratic society organizations in Raqqa canton. The statement was read by the co-chair of the Union of Toilers in Raqqa canton, Bushra Al-Shraida, and the text of the statement read:

“On February 3, 2025, the city of Manbij was subjected to a cowardly terrorist attack by detonating a car bomb, which resulted in a number of innocent victims, most of whom were male and female workers and children, and the injury of others. In addition to the destruction of property and other civilian cars, and sowing panic in the hearts of citizens.”

During the statement, the toilers condemned the “terrorist act” that cannot be justified under any name, and the statement indicated that “terrorism is a crime that has nothing to do with humanity, and it targets security and stability and attempts to undermine the unity and strength of society, and this act is condemned regardless of the party that has an interest in it

The they expressed their condolences to the families of the victims, wished a speedy recovery for the injured, and affirmed their full solidarity with them in these difficult circumstances.

The statement called on Arab countries and responsible countries that call for human rights to stop the massacres committed by the Turkish occupation in the region of NE Syria with drones and warplanes, especially those committed in the Tishreen Dam, Kobani, Sarin, Ain Issa, and Ras al-Ayn.

The statement stressed holding criminals who commit these heinous crimes accountable and bringing them to justice, and taking the necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of such events.

The statement called for an end to the ongoing war on the entire Syrian territory, which has exhausted the people and left destruction and suffering, and to work to strengthen the cohesion of Syrian society and confront the policies of division and incitement that aim to ignite strife.

At its conclusion, the statement called on international powers to unite efforts to combat terrorism that threatens the security of the entire world, and said: “We affirm that peace and security are the rights of every human being, and collective action must be taken to achieve them.
