Tishrin Dam symbolizes people's rejection of defeat

Since January 8, the people of North and East Syria have continued their resistance at Tishrin Dam, a lifeline for the region, by gathering daily in mass protests against the ongoing attacks carried out by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries. These attacks aim to destroy vital infrastructure and are part of a systematic war intended to destabilize the region and deprive its people of basic necessities.

Protesters have emphasized their steadfast commitment to peaceful resistance until their goals are achieved: protecting the dam and stopping the Turkish attacks that threaten the region’s water and food security.

As it has become a military target of the Turkish occupation, the locals have realized that defending it is a humanitarian and moral duty. They expressed their readiness to make any sacrifice to preserve this strategic facility, asserting that its protection is a collective responsibility that cannot be compromised or abandoned.
