Tishrin Dam protesters: Resistance will continue until attacks end

 Protest activities at Tishrin Dam have been ongoing for more than three months as part of efforts to defend the achievements and rights of North and East Syria, as well as Syria as a whole. Protesters emphasize that their demonstrations aim to boost the morale of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in particular.

 Regarding his motivation for taking part in the demonstrations, Fathi Hassan stated that he and others are heading to the dam to express their support for the Syrian Democratic Forces, which are defending the region against attacks by Turkish occupation forces and their affiliated mercenaries. He also voiced his rejection of Turkish interference in the region’s affairs and underscored the importance of maintaining security and stability.

 Explaining the reasons behind the ongoing protest vigil, Itab Al-Dhaif emphasized that the demonstrations have persisted for three months due to the participants' firm commitment to resisting the Turkish occupation until their demands for an end to attacks and the withdrawal of occupying forces from Syrian territory are met. She stressed that protests would continue until Turkish forces cease their offensives and withdraw from the region.

 Similarly, Mohammad Al-Rajab called for an immediate cessation of Turkish attacks and a full withdrawal of Turkish forces from all Syrian territories, reiterating the necessity of safeguarding the region’s security and stability.

 Niroz Ali, a displaced person from Afrin and Shahba, stated: "We are heading to Tishrin Dam today to continue our protests, which have now entered their third month." She further explained: "We stand in support of our forces—the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Women's Protection Units—who are resisting on the frontlines. It is our duty to stand beside them and provide them with moral support."

 Meanwhile, Maryam Abd, a displaced person from occupied Afrin, highlighted the participation of diverse communities from North and East Syria, including Arabs, Kurds, Syriacs, Christians, and Turkmen, in the protests despite the dangers they face. She emphasized: "The unity of our peoples and adherence to the principle of brotherhood, along with our commitment to defending our land, reflect our ongoing historical resistance. This is not the first time my comrades and I have participated—every time a delegation from Tabqa mobilizes, we join, and we will continue until the occupation attacks cease."
