Three people killed, one under torture, and another injured in Tartous and Homs

One person was killed, and another was seriously injured after being directly shot by unidentified gunmen in a tinted-window van in the Hamisa farm area of Sheikh Badr in Tartous. The injured individual was transported to a hospital for treatment, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

Meanwhile, the body of a young man with gunshot wounds was found discarded on the road near the Qusayr roundabout in the countryside of Homs. The motives and perpetrators of the crime remain unknown.

In a related development, a person lost his life under torture in the prisons of the Damascus authorities in Homs. He had been arrested during a raid conducted by armed factions affiliated with the Damascus authorities on the village of Al-Ghazila about 15 days ago. According to the Observatory, he was among those who had previously undergone reconciliation agreements.

With this, the number of killings and assassinations across various Syrian provinces since the beginning of 2025 has reached 128 incidents, resulting in 253 deaths, including 246 men, six women, and one child, according to the Observatory. Additionally, the number of detainees killed inside the prisons of the Damascus authorities has reached 16, most of whom were from Homs, following their arrests during raids and at checkpoints.
