Three members of ISF martyred on checkpoint in Sarrin, Kobani

The General Command of the Internal Security Forces in the Euphrates Canton announced the martyrdom of three of its members and the injury of another, following an attack targeting one of its checkpoints in the Sarrin area of Kobani by mercenaries of the interim government.

Today, the General Command of the Internal Security Forces in the Euphrates Canton issued a statement revealing the martyrdom of three of its members after a checkpoint belonging to the forces was targeted in the Sarrin area of Kobani by mercenaries of the interim government. The statement read:

“Our regions in North and East Syria, particularly the cities of Hasakah and Kobani, are facing an unprecedented escalation in terrorist attacks supported by the mercenaries of the interim Damascus government and their extremist Islamist groups. These attacks, which target the security and safety of both civilians and military personnel alike, are part of a systematic plan aimed at destabilizing the region and spreading chaos.

In this context, a security checkpoint belonging to our forces in the Sarrin area of the city of Kobani was subjected to a treacherous attack late last night, Monday, January 19, carried out by a Turkish drone, which directly bombed the site.

The attack resulted in the martyrdom of three of our members and the injury of another with varying degrees of wounds.”
