Tel Brak residents: the unity of Syrian people is historical step

With the fall of the Ba'athist regime in Syria on December 8, 2024, Syrian parties linked to external agendas, especially those associated with the Turkish occupation state, began their efforts to create discord among the components of the Syrian people, particularly inciting against the Kurdish people, in order to advance their agendas in the country and create internal strife that will only benefit those lurking around Syria and its unity. 

 In this context, the residents of the city of Tel Brak in al- Jazira region expressed their stance regarding these attempts. Citizen Mohsen al-Ahmad emphasized that unifying the Syrian people is a "historical necessity." He said in his speech: "With the rapid developments in Syria and the fall of the Ba'ath regime, it has become more appropriate to adopt a mentality of building a modern Syria." We need the unity of the Syrian people in order to develop a national administrative model based on justice and equality.

 Mohsen added: "The diversity present in our Syrian homeland is a historical richness of national and societal value, reflecting the true identity of Syria that the Baathist regime has worked to erase over many years."

 For his part, Mousa al-Mousa, a member of the Tel Brak City Council, affirmed that "unity is the only way to rid ourselves of the forces of oppression and dictatorship."

 Al-Mousa pointed out that the current phase Syria is going through, especially after the fall of the Ba'ath regime, requires efforts to avoid slipping into civil and sectarian wars.

 He added: "We call for the unity of Syrian territories and the protection of the rights of all Syrian components without exception, for unity is the only way to be rid of the forces of oppression and tyranny."

 Mousa also expressed his full support for the Syrian Democratic Forces in confronting the Turkish aggression and its mercenaries, emphasizing the importance of concerted efforts to support these forces in their defense of the Syrian people.

 In the same context, Tarek Abdullah called for the use of "the language of dialogue" to resolve all internal conflicts. He said, "Syria is going through an important political transition that requires us to preserve the rights of all components and sects." and this will only be achieved through the solidarity and unity of the Syrians, away from foreign interventions in determining our destiny.

 He added: "We call on all Syrians to unite and use dialogue to resolve all conflicts, emphasizing the importance of rebuilding Syria with the help of international organizations."

 Tariq also called on the political forces to overcome their differences for the sake of the public interest, and he emphasized the necessity of cooperation in the reconstruction of Syria in the upcoming phase.

 At the end of his speech, Tarek affirmed his full support for the Syrian Democratic Forces in their resistance against the Turkish aggression and its mercenaries, considering that these forces represent the first line of defense for the rights and land of the Syrians.
