A national consultative meeting was held on Saturday in Belgium, with the participation of approximately fifty Syrian political and civil figures from various components.

The meeting focused on strengthening common ground among Syrians based on the social contract and the values of citizenship, rejecting any form of domination or foreign interference.

The meeting also included a critical review of the performance of the past period since the fall of the Ba'athist regime and the rise of Hayet Tahrir al-Sham to power. It examined the structural challenges of the new government, the level of commitment to democratic principles, and the guarantee of citizens' rights.

The participants emphasized the importance of looking to the future and developing a comprehensive political vision based on pluralism, decentralization, and the rejection of tyranny and extremism, ultimately aiming to build a modern, democratic state based on the free will of the Syrian people.

The meeting resulted in the formation of a specialized working group to promote the values of citizenship and develop a vision for building the state on a federal or decentralized model, rather than the traditional centralized system, according to the participants.
