Teacher protests in Idlib continue for the second consecutive day, with classes suspended in several schools, as part of the "Dignity Strike" campaign demanding higher salaries.

The protests, which began yesterday in Idlib and Aleppo, saw teachers raising slogans denouncing the policies of the Ministry of Education in the Syrian transitional government, pointing to a sharp decline in monthly salaries and calling for their rights to be upheld and for a decent standard of living.

A statement issued by the "Free Syrian Teachers" coalition explained that suspending classes in schools in and around Idlib aims to pressure the government and the Education Directorate to provide fair wages for teachers.

The protesters emphasized that the strike’s goal is not to disrupt education, but to defend their dignity and legitimate rights, calling on parents and their colleagues in the education sector to support their stance to ensure their demands are met.
